The video on ear mites was very interesting. We have an 8 month old G.R. puppy who doesn't really bother his ears with scratching much, but I have to always be cleaning them as they are dirty. Even the ear flap is dirty. In the ear itself it is almost like a brown waxy substance I take out using my little finger on a pad with an ear cleaning fluid. He tolerates it well. His ear has a slight smell, but nothing musty like when my older dog had an ear infection once. He loves exploring in the bush, maybe that's why it's dirty frequently. I'm not sure.
